Grow Your Blog - Welcome!

To all visiting blog friends, welcome!  (Thanks, Vicki, for coordinating this project yet again!  You're amazing!  And you're a nurse, which is even better.) You've landed in a friendly, crazy, honest, and hopefully inspirational place.  =)

Life for most of us is quite ordinary, and the challenge is on to learn the art of making it extraordinary. In other words, it may be a billion years before I see Paris, but I want to be able to delight in the beauty that's under my nose.  Well, not under my literal nose.  Even though I've started using argan oil like the French women and am achieving a marvelous placebo effect, I wouldn't want to look that closely. You know what I mean.

So I blog to develop a regular habit in this artful adventure, to have some fun along the way with writing and photography (a work in progress), and to share together with others.

So pull up a chair and I'll pour some tea!

The pleasure is mine,
Nancy =)

P.S.  And yes, there will be a giveaway, but it's still a surprise.  Even to me.  =)  So leave a comment and join in the party!

  19. Lovely blog.. lots of charm. We also enjoy the charm in the everyday: fresh eggs from our chickens, honey from our bees, produce from our garden, freshly baked bread, and even the softness of a vintage (but still well-loved) cloth napkin.

  43. Very nice blog...an artful adventure for sure! I write with pencil, too. I have lots of mechanical ones, because I am known to write at the drop of a hat, and if the point breaks...a click is easier than sharpening. Especially when an idea or thought comes to mind while driving! My latest is one made by a friend from an oak tree that came down when Hurricane Irene blew through here a couple years ago. I love your shot of the cat by the old cast iron stove...love that old stove, oh and the cat too! Enjoy the blog party! Aloha

  54. Saw an earlier post about and ALS conference in Brussels in 2014. What is your connection? I poked around your blog and couldn't find much although I'm guessing you are a nurse since I saw some references to that. My sister died four years ago of ALS (at age 40) and it is obviously an interest of mine. Love your chicken pictures...

  59. Hello Nancy

    I love your blog name - chickens are so cool I love their individual personalities - just like us!
    A bantam hen strolled into our garden one day and stayed for a year! We named her Henrietta and she gave us a delicious egg every day!
    I agree with your sentiments - "learn to love the life you have" - I'm all for bringing the positive into everything I do.

    I'm following you and I'll be back once the party winds down with my cup of coffee in hand to meander at leisure through your lovely blog!

    I would love you to pop over and visit me where I have a GYB Giveaway of a Vintage fabric and lace Collage.

    Warm hugs
    Shane
