Lessons in Shoveling Dirt

  1. When wearing boots, do NOT tuck your pants in.  This prevents gallons of stray dirt falling in over the top.
  2. When wearing tall boots, wear taller socks.  This prevents hot, sticky sweat from glueing your skin to the inside of your boots.
  3. Push vanity aside and wear the hat.  Remind yourself that those neighbors won't notice, and are actually jealous of your grit, determination, and amazing muscles. =)
