Bread, Books, People, and Travel

There is nothing like a new book, the kind you read until your eyes start crossing and you can't stay awake any longer, and then as soon as you wake up in the morning you stay in bed until you are done.

This young woman travels the world and has traded more than 1,000 loaves of her wild yeast sourdough bread in exchange for things that inspire her, which does does not include money.  The opening starts:
"Tell me a story that moves me.
Show me something I have never seen before.
Teach me something I do not know.
Bring whatever you do that you are proud of.

Share with me.
And I will share my bread with you."

And so her travels take her to all parts of the world...the Sinai Desert, Berlin, Stockholm, Bavaria, Warsaw, New York, Kabul, Antwerp, California, San Francisco...And in doing this, she inspires the rest of us to create, appreciate good food, welcome adventure, engage in new relationships, and share.
